Westminster College IT Department: Salt Lake City, UT
Promoted to position in May of 1999. Reported to Director of Information Technology. Managed 4 full-time technical staff which in turn supervise 12 part-time staff. Webmaster for award-winning website www.westminstercollege.edu; responsible for site information architecture, web project management, in-house content management system, traffic analysis/reporting, and application development. Oversaw campus technology support for faculty, staff, students, and alumni in a mixed MS Windows/Novell Netware/Linux environment. Responsible for building, testing, documenting, and supporting campus computer images. Oversaw Faculty Technology Center's efforts for: enhancing instruction and improving learning outcomes; administering online learning management systems (WebCT, Angel, Captive, Breeze); and supporting strategic initiatives such as hybrid courses and online course evaluations. Administered campus-wide online surveys and online course evaluation systems. Provided ad-hoc individual assistance and training. Developed and delivered regular technology workshops for core staff skills. Project manager on specialty projects such as library's Information Commons ($200,000 project budget). Departmental lead for the majority of verbal and written communication. Created and maintained departmental security, business continuity, and disaster recovery planning documentation for yearly audits. |
