I keep telling myself I'm going to poke around with AJAX in my spare time. Riiiiight. I'm finishing up coding a CMS at work, have a four-week-old-daughter, am starting a new job in one week and have to finish painting my Delaque gang in time to play Necromunda with my friend who is posting his progress log on Easter Fringe just to shame me... While doing some tech reading online I stumbled upon jQuery, a new Javascript library. It's lightweight, fast and the chainability is neat. I had it installed and working in about five minutes, and for my needs it looks very promising. Plus, it does some neat special effects like those in the Joomla! v1.5 admin console that make AJAX so compelling.
