Organization is one of my greatest strengths; I love applying structure and coherency to complex systems. I have managed projects with a wide range of scopes, budgets, and personnel, including creation of web sites and applications, facility designs and renovations, and program planning and staffing. Here are some examples of technical projects I have managed:

Many colleges are creating "Information Commons" to mesh computing and library resources in a pleasant atmosphere. Think Starbucks with lots of computers, collaborative workspace, books, and helpful people. I was the IT project manager for Westminster's year-long Information Commons project. I did research, drafted the initial six-figure budget, pursued funding, and designed the Writing Center and collaborative workstations.

Overhauling a large website requires meticulous planning and lead time. To facilitate the 2005 Westminster College website redesign discussion with non-technical stakeholders, I created a mini-site to showcase design ideas, list decisions, and keep meetings focused.

I created, maintained, tested, documented, and updated all of Westminster's computer images. Imaging is a common, efficient practice in computing environments with significant numbers of identical workstations. Building a stable image requires a precise, methodical approach, attention to detail, and (lots of) patience. Examples: Image Build Document | Image Update Log | Image Project Plan
